I know that he's been great all year, and it's awesome having a top 10 center on the court 48 minutes a night. But in today's NBA you can't be spending 41 million dollars (combined salary of Rudy and Fav) on the center position, especially when neither can shoot. If Derrick was willing to take a big paycut I'd take him back in a heartbeat, but I wouldn't expect that, not even he could make 15 million a year somewhere else to start at center.
Basically what I'm saying is that we'd probably be better off spending money on shooting, not a backup center. I wish we had spent his money on players like Joe Harris or Bjelica.
