Roger Reid is the guy that publicly stated Chris Burgess was letting down 9 million Church members for choosing Duke
over BYU. Then the next year his program imploded under scandal when the team's best player (maybe a second player was involved? can't recall for sure) was arrested for a white-collar business scheme. Reid was fired, his son Robbie transferred to Michigan while on his mission, and the next year BYU went 1-27 under a temporary coach. Cleveland was hired to clean up the mess the following year ('97-'98).
