So...I tend to be a bit suspicious of that sales technique?
We had a hail storm...had in influx of door to door guys scheduling appointments too. I'm not sure I was ever convinced that because there were ding marks in my roof that I needed to replace the whole thing. The roof has never leaked, after the hail storm it doesn't leak. I have gone through the attic a few times have not seen any problems.

I think the main selling point for me is that most insurance will cover a big portion after a hail storm. So, If you think you need a new roof and a hail storm conveniently comes in around the same time, I guess I'd go for it...but just because it hails does not mean you need a new roof.
