That would have to be so incredibly frustrating for the coaching staff to realize they have a unusual talent who will come to BYU and immediately bolster a running back position that is pretty weak....and at the end of the day not have him get in despite having just graduated from another college
It's not unreasonable to think that adding a decent SEC caliber running back is a big improvement for BYU. An above-average, by BYU standards, running back would be a huge improvement for this coming season and would literally make a difference in the win total.
The coaches have a stacked deck against them when it comes to recruiting elite players as we all know due to a combination of location, honor code and academics. When one of those guys wants to come to BYU I would sincerely hope we could find a way to get that kid into school.
