whitey1980 Strong Safety
BYU has talent- as they have historically had. The problem is depth. The rivalry game last year demonstrated that very
well.

Zach is great, and hopefully he stays healthy, but the likelihood of ALL of the starters remaining healthy is slim. And the drop-off in talent, between the starters and the 2nd/3rd-stringers is steep.

The likelihood of this team going undefeated is not good. I don't mean to sound like a blunt jerk. I'm just kind of surprised that anyone has their hopes that high, at this point in the season. BYU hasn't beat Utah since November 2009. We're 2-3 vs. Utah State in the past five years. (Kalani is 1-2 vs. USU.) That's not a great trajectory.

I would be *very* happy with 8-4.

IF BYU starts out 4-0, then I think you'd be safe raising your expectations for a special season. Until then, I don't think it's reasonable.
