This article isn't really saying anything new, but it puts things in a whole new perspective when Purdue's (historically a bottom half Big 10 team) football coach is getting paid higher than any PAC 12 coach at $5 millon a year with new deal. Big 10 per member are getting $20 million a year more than per member in the PAC 12. It's not entirely the PAC 12 fault. Market forces are working against them being out west, but Larry Scott's PAC 12 network hasn't helped their situation. In a way, I admire the PAC 12 for holding on to some kind of financial morality when it comes to college sports. They're trying not to skew their mission. My final thought is the disparity in revenue between Big 10 members and PAC 12 members are becoming similar to BYU revenue and PAC 12 revenue.
