I don’t post much but since we’re in the lull of the offseason I thought I’d share a fun story about Ziggy. I played football with some guys a few months ago and one of them played for Oregon St. from 2011-2015. I told him I was a BYU fan and he said he remembered playing us and how fun those games were. He said in 2011 he was playing special teams and on a kickoff he was decleated by some guy wearing #47. He was surprised at how big and fast the guy was. He said as the game went on, many of the players and coaches were wondering who #47 was because he wasn’t on the scouting report and was blowing up guys on special teams. I told him it was Ziggy Ansah and he said “that makes sense, he was a freak! I’ve never seen a guy that big, move that fast.” It was cool to hear a first hand experience of Ziggy when he was playing at BYU (on a side note, I still can’t believe how amazing that 2012 defense was, so fun to watch. Just wish we had an better offense that year). Anyway, Ziggy seems like a good dude and I hope he’s able to stay healthy this next year and play well.
