You seriously think that a good FG kicker is meaningless?
We haven't had a FG kicker that can do 45+ yds reliably for over a decade. Just think about how many of our close games (including most of our recent games against the U) a great kicker would have made a difference in.
The FG kicker is one of the most important roles on the team.
