said they were too short, which my wife responded that weren't as the touched her knees.  He said they had to cover knees.  She said that's not the rule.  He said it was and as Dean of Student Life (or whatever it was called) he knows.  She said, that's not what the rule says and that she knew because it was published in the school paper that week and she was the article's editor at the paper. 

This pissed him off, so he says they are too short and then reached down to press her shorts against her knees (apparently to show they didn't reach her knees).  She reacted with a very vocal, "don't touch me" causing a bit of a stir in the highly foot trafficed area.  

He stormed off.  About a month later we got notice that she was being kicked out of school for failure to respond to HC violations though we'd never received a notice.  We had good friends higher up- so this went away quickly, with sincere apologies.  Crazy thought he could get away with any of that.
