so they're not mid tier. Their lower tier SEC. The only teams lower are Vandy and UK. And we all know UK is usually the basketball program, and Vandy was never going to do anything in the SEC so long as they even slightly valued education and made it a priority.

Considering Tennessee recruits better than a majority of the higher programs, it's pretty pathetic. The tradition, the stadium, the "this is the year" fans, the money and status. They can't do anything with it and are on that extreme end of the spectrum when you look at the graph showing performance relative to recruiting. Talk about doing less with more.
