(or, more accurately, the future GOAT), with his team trailing, hit a walk-off, game-winning, series-winning jumper at the buzzer to beat the favored Cavaliers in the NBA playoffs. It was a great, amazing moment for me as a neutral fan, and I remember it well (BTW, Jordan scored 44 pts in that game). But I never thought that, 30 years later, it would still be the only series-winning buzzer-beater in a do-or-die final game of an NBA playoff series. Turns out the moment was even more special than I thought it was at the time.
I wonder if I’ll see another one in my lifetime. Maybe we’ll get one tonight?
MSNOn May 7, 1989, Michael Jordan hit one of the most legendary buzzer-beaters in NBA history over Craig Ehlo and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs.
