This article makes me sad. John Beilein leaving is just another symptom that
college basketball is broken. College basketball has always been my #1 interest, and March Madness still holds its magic (especially the first weekend), but with each passing year it is harder and harder to give any credence to the amateurism that it claims to be. These things are killing college basketball:

- Rampant cheating that is now public knowledge with the FBI investigations yet without a single NCAA penalty
- The loosening of transfer restrictions basically allowing anyone to play wherever they want
- Dozens of ill-prepared under-classmen going pro, against everyone's advice, with zero hope of getting drafted in the first round
- The mockery of academic standards such as what UNC did a few years ago (fake classes in fake majors) and the fact that one-and-dones only have to be in good academic standing for a half a semester
