This is not even close to typical for normal IT work, unless your team is severely understaffed, makes lots of mistakes in change management, have been hacked, or some other outlier.
I too have spent my entire career in Infrastructure and security. In 22 years of IT I’ve had to pull a 24+ hour shift exactly once, and it was during an all hands on deck outage.
