How many PSI is enough for a pressure washer?

Wash it, or strip it clean? It seems like the standard for higher end home systems is ~3,000 psi and 2.5 gpm.

Electric ones are usually worthless. 2600 psi is the bare minimum to be useful.

I haven't had good luck with electric pressure washers. Costco has a gas one
