When I did the full IM there in 2017 the ocean was glass. Last weekend it was anything but. I think I had about as much elevation gain on the swim going up/down the waves as there was on the bike course.

You have to be OK with humidity and heat though. If you are good with that and can handle the variability of the ocean, then it's a relatively easy course.
