I don't care who you are, a $700 million drop is massive by any standards. And then things got even worse when Solo made only $300 million. And I get it, Solo was a spin off film, but so was Rogue One (which came out before fans were alienated by TLJ) and it still managed to make $1 Billion, so you're still looking at a $700 million drop off. And I get it, it's the middle movie in the trilogy, there's always a drop off. But the 70% drop off between TFA and TLJ was FAR bigger than any other Star Wars trilogy film (ESB and AotC were both only 30% drop offs).
