He constantly stood on offense and defense this year. Even with Kerr catering to him — repeatedly calling him the best player in the world and calling plays specifically for him to make him happy — Durant would disagree routinely with Kerr in the press. Kerr would say after the game, "we can't beat teams like this unless we can maintain focus on defense." The beat writers would then run to Durant for comment. "Nah man. We just missed shots. We make the shots we know we should make, we win. Defense wasn't the problem." These petty disagreements came after every loss. I have no idea what the source of the discontent is other than that is who KD is.
