When I was at a law firm, my employer paid for this and I renewed my membership every year along with my state bar membership.

When I went in house, at some point I think I stopped because I wasn't always certain of how the ABA used its resources and what sort of things they were lobbying for.

While my current employer does pay for membership, I don't see much of a reason to belong to the the ABA. Lawyers of CB, what are your thoughts?
