Convince AAC to expand with Boise, SDSU and two others; then sign ND-like deal
with the expanded AAC, as part of its western arm for Olympic sports. Gonzaga gets the AAC Olympic sports invite too.
THIS would be BYU's best alternative. Major upgrade to a national Olympic sports conference with rivals like Gonzaga, San Diego State, and Boise State...(and a couple other old MWC foes), plus the likes of Cincinnati, Houston, Temple, Memphis, UConn, etc.
Via the ND-like affiliation with AAC football, keep independence and the Boise State rivalry series, plus grab some better late-season opponents (Houston, Memphis, UCF, Cincinnati, Temple, San Diego State, etc.) and grab some nice bowl affiliations.
