BYU will open up in a tough match-up against LMU’s ace. BYU should be guaranteed a regional birth
But will need to get past LMU’s ace for hopes to win the tourney. Paiva’s ERA of 1.78 is impressive. His four year career in the 2’s is also impressive. I assume Jordan will start, he will need to be on his game starting with the first pitch vs. struggling in the first and second innings before settling down. Any lead LMU’s ace is given, will be very difficult to get back.
