It depends I guess...
obviously a work of philosophy or ideas could be "life changing", so if such a movie or tv show exists I suppose it could do that but we are discussing Game of Thrones here, not Marx or de Tocqueville or something that is about ideas. If Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad is life changing for someone then they definitely have issues.
