I understand that they were trying to tell the story from the perspective of his GF, who didn’t know if he was guilty or innocent—but with no direct indications that he WAS doing these things during the movie, until the very end—it felt like telling a story of all this stuff that HAPPENED to Bundy, and (probably unintentionally) made him look sympathetic for most of the movie.

And then the fact that the big reveal at the end where is DOES become clear that he did it is historically inaccurate—to me, was disappointing. There had to have been a better way of revealing his guilt than a completely made up prison confession w his ex girlfriend that never happened.
