That was the beauty of the very first Survivor winner.

He flat out told everyone that the reason he didn't learn all of their spouses and kids names or become friends with everyone is because he was there to win the money by outplaying and outlasting everyone - he wasn't there to make friends, just to win the cash.

Awesome.
