Call me the paranoid dad, but my kids have reached cell phone age
and yes, I fear for this day. While I expect my kids to make good choices, the world is unforgiving and the margin for error is small. Again, I'm a paranoid dad who has been fed by hyperbolic others of the doom and gloom of a kid with a cell phone.

With this said, there are many phone monitoring paid subscriptions out there. I am just now researching these options. I guess my question are: Are these services worth the cost? Are they necessary? What are some other things, of kids having phones, to be aware of? And, are there free services that will do enough for my needs?

I am sure this has been rehashed ad nauseum on CB, but in my simple few minutes of searching, I didn't find too much information.

Thanks for the help!
