Anyone else think Netflix needs to be a little more selective about their shows?
There is so much content made by Netflix right now that it's impossible to keep up. I have watched so many shows or movies and then in the end it's like, "What was the purpose of that? Did that really need to be made?" It seems like the quality is always questionable (other than a select few that are terrific) and there are so many stinkers they have made that are such a waste of time and money. I kinda wish they would just focus more on quality rather than quantity. We can hardly digest one good show they release before five more series are released.

I think this will be their downfall. How many times does HBO completely whiff on a show? Pretty rarely. I would say Netflix has about a 10% success rate for me personally and maybe that's even less in terms of how much content they make that I actually have interest in. I wish that when they made a show I had confidence that it would be good and it is something that I would enjoy but I usually have little faith that the quality will be there.

I think they just crank out shows for the shut-ins and people who constantly have something on as background noise because they don't really care and will watch anything.
