It really isn't. If you know how to use the ingredients avail in the store you
can not only save money, but even time. This is a cultural lie that has been propagated for years that has led us to buy into the idea of convenience. It is not more convenient to go to a drive thru than to actually put something in a crock pot and spend the five minutes it takes to put your lunch together and carry it with you to work.

The irony is I can make you a dinner that costs me 2 bucks a plate that is delicious nutritious and can be eaten most anywhere cold or warm depending on what was made.

The two factors driving us down this path is 1. A lack of desire to challenge yourself to get through the learning curve of cooking and 2. A Willingness to indulge our appetites. //
