I wouldn't call them magical days. I would have loved to have the music
tech and options we have now back in the 80's and 90's.
We have the ability now to find any music we want a la carte, and at a low price. It is easier to find obscure music, too since you can search by genre, similar sounding music, line in a song, etc. A music subscription basically ensures that you can find any music you want, any time you want.
The time for music has never been better for the consumer.
That said, I did think it was kind of a fun practice to look through my friends' case logic case to see which CDs they had.
