Tell me the truth, do you feel like BYU is trending up? I honestly feel like USU is trending up. What BYU is experiencing is more than just a cyclical phase. Independence, the honor code, and your poor play as of late is the start of a downward trend of which you haven’t even seen the bottom of yet.

Take a look at USU in the early years. USU dominated the rivalry back then, then something happened to USU. what many people don’t realize is this is when USU went independent. It spelled the beginning of the end for USU. I feel sorry for BYU fans because they don’t realize the death knell that independence is. The way things are now, your recruits will continue get worse, the fan base will continue to dwindle, and you will find yourself in a dark spot that takes years to dig out from. Trust me USU has been there.

As for media coverage, I could honestly care less. I realize USU has just recently earned the attention of the media, and I also recognize that BYU and Utah make up the majority of the listeners along the Wasatch front. I will continue to buy my season tickets and enjoy the wins. No need to feel sorry for Aggie fans. We’re in a good place right now. Though I appreciate your concern.

To be honest, I will probably not come back if BYU were to win the game this year. I would likely be depressed that USU just lost to a poor to mediocre football team.
