Unpopular view, but here goes anyway
Can we stop calling the uu vs. BYU game the “holy war!” Utah is a state school and is not affiliated with a religion.

Holy Wars are:
BYU vs. ND
ND vs. Boston college
Etc.

Now before some jump on the: well Brigham Young started the uu, Therefore, it is a religious institution. While, I am not forgetting, Brigham Young founded both universities. And many early Church leaders attended school there in part due to distances and the initial purposes of the two schools.

To compare the two schools today as both being affiliated to the Church is hard pressed.

Similar to comparing the universities, try comparing the buildings below:

There is a beautiful building located in Kirkland, Ohio built by Joseph Smith. Although he was instrumental in building the building, you can no longer go to this building and perform the ordinances that were once performed inside.

There are 209 and counting buildings which provide a sacred place for ordinances once performed in the Kirkland Temple to be performed. So while the original purpose was the same, Kirkland vs. the 208 are no longer the same and cannot be considered to be the same.

Similar in connecting uu to the Church today. You can’t.
