Our son will turn 5 the end of July. He's been pretty far behind with his speech
communication, and because of that his social skills. He is coming along great, but because of that, and being one of the younger kids we have been planning on holding him out of kindergarten. Problem is, if we hold him out of kindergarten then he loses services for speech from the county. His current speech therapist recently recommended putting him in kindergarten so he can keep his speech therapy services with the plan of keeping him in kindergarten for 2 years.

Anyone have any experience with this, specifically planning on your child being in kindergarten for 2 years?
