Even though the RPI takes that somewhat into account, it can only do so much. Take Vanderbilt , for example. They both played only 5 OOC away games and 3 of those 5 were at a neutral site. So only 2 true away games. Mississippi St, only 4 OOC away games, 3 of which were at neutral sites. Those are the top two teams record-wise in the conference.
