There’s a lot to digest here. First of all, it’s “if you were me”. Then when I respond, I would say
“If I were you”.
So if I were you, I would pay the $200 you owe for bumping someone’s car. Even though there was no damage. Sounds like you were lucky you weren’t arrested.
Then, if I were you, I’d ask the police officer if there is someone who handles crimes against children that you can speak with. It would be like this “I mean no offense but are you able to handle cases like this? You handle fraud cases so it made me wonder.” Then maybe he will refer you to someone who is better qualified.
What do you mean by his word? What are you worried about with him coming to your house?
