No way. Never. Kids need to work. Kids need to learn to work. Kids need to
clean up after themselves. I make my girls mow the lawn too. Cleaning, weeding, raking, everything.

There may be other things I did as a parent that were as important as that, but not many. Yes. If you were wondering. It was much more difficult than paying someone or just doing it myself. Me and the wife generally worked right alongside of them.

My daughter wrote home while she was on her mission. "Thanks Dad for making mow the lawn. It taught me a lot." Not much better than that either.
