If I’m a BYU fan
I take the 10 wins all day. Obviously. It’s not even a consideration.
If you vote beating Utah, you’re e essentially limiting the national appeal and progress of the program to prove temporary supremacy over a middle P5 team. You’re letting Utah define you.
To me, BYU is a much better program than that.
What if you beat Utah and the Utes go on to lose 6-7 other games. Making the win nationally meaningless. It’s not worth it.
