consensus seems to be that the Canadian anthem is much better. It’s a fairly common topic on local sports radio during the NHL season, especially during playoff series’ vs Canadian teams. I agree with the local consensus, and I think most who can take off their red, white, and blue goggles would feel likewise.

As for the one supposed Canadian dissenter, anyone can say they’re Canadian on an anonymous board. I know lots of Canadians and have never met any who agree with him. I’m sure there must be some, but not many...

Now, “America the Beautiful” is a great hymn, OTOH.
