First, let's state the obvious one... winning. I wouldn't care about any fan experience traditions if we were winning. Seeing that we aren't always doing that, and because a tradition is still something fun that would be even more enjoyable if we were winning, we should still be doing something.
I'm not talking about gameday traditions that don't involve the fans like CU Buffs buffalo run, Texas and Bevo, OU Sooners wagon, etc.. I'm talking about stuff that engages the crowd.
Wisconsin has "Jump Around". Iowa has the children's hospital wave. Arkansas has the hog chant. Mississippi St. has the cowbell. On and on. I sure hope ours isn't "Popcorn Popping" but I guess it's something.
A buddy once suggested singing YMCA (with a heavy emphasis on the Y), but that seemed a little too... well... I'll just say it makes us an easy target.
The BYU crowd is an awkward bunch so maybe that's what's kept us from doing that but there's got to be something we can do that would pump up the crowd... no?
