A day later, I still can't decide if I liked it or disliked it. It was so... just ok.
Will Smith did the very best he could with what he was given, in a bit of a lose-lose roll. Probably the brightest spot of the film
The casting of Aladdin and Jasmine was made based on pretty people who can sing adequately rather than good actors who can act convincingly, imo.
The guy who played Jafar didn't bring much, but that was more a script issue than a casting issue
The visual effects were a delight, colorful and beautiful.
Overall the movie was very, well, ok.
C grade.
