Two responses:
1. "Athletic freaks" aren't the primary requirement for elite soccer players.
2. The paycheck for a soccer player is just as good as that for the football or baseball player. The job prospect for the American soccer player is GLOBAL, if they are good enough. Ask Christian Pulisic, Weston McKinney and others. The money argument is as bad as the "best athletes" argument.
