started by insulting all American pies, saying that "to make a good American pie, you really have to make it British." Then the contestants proceeded to invent a bunch of weird pies-- stuff like peanut butter mixed with butternut squash-- and to whine about how all American pies are disgusting. It was hilarious seeing their bizarre conception of what an "American" pie looked and tasted like.
