Most of the other guys weren't even on the team 2-3 years ago.
That being said, this whole list is far from set in stone. Spring ball isn't competition time, so we need fall ball. And it's really hard to say which guys have a leg up on others. Some will make arguments for one of Longson or Saleapaga, but that's really hard to do. They can go either way. Same thing with that RT spot. It's way too early IMO. We've got 3 spots set, with plenty of talent and experience to fill the other two. The best part is knowing most of them were only freshmen or sophomores last year.
If Longson gets more of the nasty in him and keeps it there, and remembers that he's a freak out there physically, nothing can stop him. But it's got to be there or he could be inconsistent. Saleapaga moved over from DL and was a starter in no time. That's crazy impressive. Who cares if he had struggles. He was a freshman who just changed sides of the ball. That says absolutely nothing about what position he's in to take the starting spot this year. It could go either way. We sure have a solid number of guys who can play good ball.
Literally the first time we've said that in a decade.
