Depends. Are you going to torture them with stupid games or are you going open
house style? Having experienced both (as the mom to be) I highly recommend the open house style. If you choose that there is no limit to how many you invite and your guests will enjoy themselves much more IMHO.
Regular torturous style - the answer is as many as you can comfortably fit in the room where you will be spending the majority of the party. You don’t want your guests tripping all over each other.
