It’s now 19 years old, has 300,000 miles, and well on its way to 500K. I know it’s a fantastic engine.

As for this truck, how will it be used?

Will it be a daily driver? Occasional work?

Will it be used daily to haul loads or tow? How much?

What do you plan to tow with it? Just some recreational stuff on the occasional weekend?

Diesel trucks are awesome, but if you have to question the price/value, are you prepared to pay the much higher cost to maintain them over their gas counterparts?

Your truck should hit 300-350K if maintained. Which means you’re pretty much buying a new gasser truck for a fraction of the price and a whole lot more power.
