Byu solicits for donations those go to the project for which they are soliciting unless you donate a substantial amount and then you can stipulate the use of that gift. So all the money that gets donated to BYU goes to the general fund unless it’s for a specific project such as the new science bldg or the new whatever bldg. I don’t believe you can even say I want my $100 to go to the athletic fund. The trustees of the BYU would rather the money go to academics than athletics. I get it I don’t ageee fully but I get it. Maybe Cougar fans should start a go fund me or a separate endowment where the money could be gifted to a specific purpose aka stadium enhancement when it gets to a substantial amount.
