beginning of the parade route. I understand keeping people safe but it was over the top. Then there are signs everywhere saying don't throw candy from your float. Go close to the crowd and throw it on the ground. Then the "I'm in control" parade lady in her golf cart kept driving by and yelling at the kids for going out into the street a few steps to pick up the candy that was thrown on the ground.

Was there some past accident we never heard about? It was the most un-fun parade I have seen. Not to mention the fact that in the Orem parade I would guess about 3/4 are just commercial advertisements. I think there were two school bands, a couple of beauty queen floats and then commercial after commercial.

Maybe I'm just old. At least the kids stayed off my lawn.
