We hosted a boy from Denmark 3 years ago. My sons were 16, 14, and 10 at the time. It was a great experience for all of us. He got along well and was friends with my boys.

His English was pretty polished from the beginning. The biggest challenge were a few misunderstandings due to culture at the beginning.

He is a member of the church, so went to church and seminary with my family. That was really a blessing for him and us. He will be serving a mission to Russia in a few weeks.

The following summer we visited his family for a few days in Denmark. Fantastic experience.

We’ve thought about doing it again. We might eventually, but the timing hasn’t been there.
