If you like the outdoors, Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is worth your time
There is a parking lot on the north end. You can walk up the hill to a small visitor’s center that gives you the history of Torrey Pines as well as Native Americans in that area. There is a short film they show in the visitor center.

There are some great walking trails that will take you down to the beach below the cliffs. There are some great vista points along the way. You can walk the beach back to the parking lot. I highly recommend it.
