The University of Minnesota's now 10-year old stadium is probably one of the best college football venues I've experienced for watching a game (even if the on-field product often leaves something to be desired). The sidelines are seats and the end zones (including the student section) and the corners are bleachers--this offers cheaper alternatives for alumni and fans, and having pricing options is important for the school's ability to get fans out to games because they are in a city with NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, MLS teams who theoretically could all have home games going on simultaneously with a Gopher football game.
Anyway, BYU should just fill in the remaining sideline bleachers with seats and leave the end zones as bleachers--something along these lines:
