Good for you and her not letting the disease scare you into a corner. It's easy to let that dictate what simple activities you do, but she has a life to live and you want to see her be able to go out and live it. I hope and pray everything goes well for her... and you!

I've got a question for you though, my oldest is 9 and she too has T1D (diagnosed at 5). My 2nd child, son, was just diagnosed with T1D in January. It's crazy because it doesn't run anywhere in our family and I have a very large family. Anyways, back to my question... When your daughter put her in papers was she called to a mission outside the US? I've never had to think about it for my kids, but your post has me realizing the church will likely keep them stateside. Just curious.
