Lenny Dykstra, the former outfielder for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies, and current Linden resident is infamous for his multitude of off-field incidents and run-ins with the law. The man they nicknamed Nails was arrested again on Wednesday, this time on charges he threatened to kill an Uber driver while in possession of cocaine and ecstasy, authorities said. But that was not even close to the beginning of the legal problems for Dykstra, a 1986 World Series champion, three-time All Star, 12-year MLB veteran, and admitted steroid cheat.
