Are?
It was an individual stroke play with handicaps. I’ve played a lot in tournaments in high school where handicaps didn’t matter obviously but this was my first time playing in something like this.
The winner was -17 net and their gross scores were something like 90-91. So that would mean their handicap was like 26 or 27. That seems crazy to me. This was a charity event so a lot of the players are just rich dudes who maybe don’t play often and probably don’t have accurate handicaps.
Second place was a woman who shot around 100 both days. Is this how all these types of tournaments go? Is it always just someone with a crazy high handicap who just doesn’t play terrible who wins?
